Part-Time Program Coordinator – Lunch Buddies

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking & Perry Counties is seeking a Part-Time Program Coordinator to oversee the Lunch Buddies mentoring program in Licking County.


This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with youth, who enjoys building relationships, and who wants to make a meaningful impact in the community.


Position Details

  • 22–25 hours per week
  • August through May (school-year position)
  • Flexible daytime schedule
  • Primarily based within assigned schools


Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate the Lunch Buddies mentoring program at assigned schools.
  • Build positive relationships with students, volunteers, school personnel, and families.
  • Recruit, support, and communicate with volunteer mentors.
  • Monitor mentor-mentee relationships and provide ongoing support to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and program records in accordance with agency and national standards.
  • Collaborate with school staff and agency team members to ensure a successful mentoring experience.
  • Represent Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking & Perry Counties professionally within the community and assigned schools.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, and must meet one of the following criteria:
  •  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field (or degree completed within six months of hire); or
  •  Associate's degree in an appropriate field and two years of relevant experience in human services, social work, counseling, child development, family services, education, or a related field; or
  •  Four years of relevant experience in human services, social work, counseling, child development, family services, education, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with children, volunteers, families, and school personnel.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between assigned school locations.
